Welcome to my card blog
I decided to split my cards out from my crafty writer blog to keep that aimed at my stitching and this one as a reminder of the cards that I’ve made and – where I can remember – how I made them. Plus other people might find it useful.
I did make cards years ago, at the time I was taking a break from my cross stitching and needed something to do. This time I’m still cross stitching as well as making the cards so I don’t make so many at the moment but the time I am spending I’m also learning new techniques, so much has changed. I got back into the cardmaking through colouring, I wanted to colour and I loved the look you can get with alcohol markers.
This is my first card made with an image coloured with Copic markers. The stamp is a digital one called Beary Sweet by Tiddly Inks. It’s a lovely image and was great for practising what I had learnt from my Kit and Clowder online colouring course.
I used spellbinders dies to cut out and layer the image and I added a spray of mulberry flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
